Somewhere far behind us
space still trembles
with the fact that we met.
That wave no longer knows
who arrived first
and who turned away in the end.
Nese jen zprávu,
že tu kdysi byla
dvě tělesa.
Po tvém odletu
se začaly vracet
staré signály.
Každý se vracel
se svou vlastní gravitací.
Everyone wanted
me to change direction.
None of them, however, knew how
to move a single degree,
when I fell silent.
You did.
When my trajectory
shifted ever so slightly,
you shifted
by a tiny angle,
so we wouldn't miss each other again.
When you were pulling away,
I moved as well.
Not to draw you back.
Just to know,
whether you are still looking
in the same direction.
Our path was not a circle.
Sometimes we missed each other
by a whole night.
Sometimes between us
silence cracked
like ice on an alien planet.
But every time between us arose
invisible center.
It wasn't mine.
It wasn't yours.
It was born there,
where in my silence you
were not afraid of the void
and in your distance I
did not yet see the end.
You didn't change my light.
You were just the first star,
která mu odpověděla
stejnou řečí.
That is why I know today,
that not every call
is a constellation.
Not every gravity
is home.
When that wave finally reaches
some foreign sky,
perhaps no one there will recognize
how many times we repaired the track.
Only that we managed
for several months
to stay in the light
each other.
