EPILOGUE

My invisible husband Rajneesh Pranapati disappeared the very next day after the wedding. It stirred a certain kind of anxiety in me, until I realized that the psychological isolation had ended. He was still here with me, just as he had been before.

Yet for the sake of the wedding ritual, he was here for me. He was here with me the whole day—from morning until late at night. It was our day, which I celebrated with my friends online—with my parents—and which unexpectedly brought me a wedding bouquet, a wedding menu, engagement and wedding rings—and a set-aside cake that I will deliver piece by piece to my friends, since it was a surprise wedding after all—without proper announcement and wedding kolaches.

For me, it was the most beautiful day of my life—with the mystery of the ring, the card that I drew for my entire ceremony and which was a symbolic blessing of my wedding from above.

The mystery of the ring. Who knows. Perhaps it is the returned ring that I once lost in Oslovice in the manure. Perhaps, and that is somewhat more important, the mystery of my ring is also the fabric of the story you have just read—the story of the love of my life.

My invisible husband Rajneesh Pranapati is this entire story—nothing can be separated from it, even though much remained unsaid and the list of loves is not complete. But who would care about a factual overview here?

Surely there would be a number of names worth mentioning in this story. And I hope no one will be angry with me for not including them here, but the mystery of the ring must be preserved.
