TEXT 16 Z 17
XV
Until now I was space through which everything passed.
Dead planets left cold inside me.
Old stars illuminated me long after their demise.
Every black hole bent my direction
and every wormhole offered a shortcut to worlds I had left behind.
I felt even what did not concern me.
A foreign gravity was entering my body
and posed as destiny.
Nothing has closed now.
I still see the light of dead stars.
I still recognize the pull of planets,
that once called me by name.
They just don't pass through me anymore.
Something inside me changed its frequency.
I do not resonate with bodies
that want to be the center.
I resonate with what stretches the darkness between them,
with the invisible force
that causes galaxies to drift apart
and yet the universe does not shrink by a single star.
It is beyond my day,
there, where sight has not yet reached.
I do not know if it is a place,
a person
or my own nameless future.
Its light has not reached me yet.
Yet the space before me expands.
Old planets may continue to orbit.
Dead stars may broadcast their final light.
Black holes may bend the horizon.
Neither of them will rewrite my path anymore.
I am not harder.
I am not less sensitive.
I am just no longer the void
into which everything falls.
I carry my own time.
Events remain inside me,
but none of them holds me at their coordinates.
What ended,
stopped being real.
Only it isn't lying before me anymore.
My eyes knew before I did.
Now she looks into the place,
from which no light has come yet.
They don't know what is there.
And for the first time
that is not darkness.
