You have authority within you, but it is not made of stone. When you say "come", it is not a command, it is a place. Your hands know how to hold in a way that makes a person not need to defend themselves. And in the silence between us there is no test, just peace. I was waiting for this kind of strength: for it to be protection, not a sentence.
You have authority within you,
but it is not made of stone.
When you say "come",
it is not a command,
it is a place.
Your hands know how to hold in a way,
that a person does not need to defend themselves.
And in the silence between us
there is no trial,
just peace.
I was waiting for this kind of strength:
to be protection,
not a verdict.
